Museo Provincial “Emilio Bacardí”Tens of objects can be admired in the second oldest museum in the country, thanks to personal arrangements made by Don Emilio Bacardí Moreau. The exhibited objects include mummies of different origin, including an Egyptian one. An outstanding element is that it houses the most important painting gallery in Cuba, displaying an enviable collection of colonial painting dating back two centuries.

Museo de ambiente histórico cubanoMany historians categorically agree on the fact that the building that houses the museum was the residence of the Spanish conqueror Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in the city of Santiago de Cuba. It is located across from the historical Céspedes Park and it exhibits fine furniture of the 16 th century together with exquisite collections of highly valuable porcelain and glassware.

Granjita SiboneyThe farm was the departing place of the men that, headed by Fidel Castro, would attack the Moncada garrison, the second military fortress in the city of Santiago de Cuba, on July 26 th, 1953. It exhibits valuable documents and personal objects of some of the intrepid young rebels who attempted to “take over the heavens”.

Museo Histórico “26 de Julio”It is housed by the former Moncada Garrison, assaulted in 1953 by a reduced group of fighters headed by Fidel Castro. Its halls offer details of all the happenings of that night of Saint Anne by means of pictures, documents, and even uniforms worn by some of the intrepid young men.
Birth Home of Antonio Maceo
The construction of the restored place dates back to the first three decades of the 19 th century. It constitutes a “sanctuary” devoted to recall the huge deeds of the fairly called “Bronze Titan”, who waged hundreds of combats against the Spanish colonial army and received 26 bullet wounds along his fruitful fighter existence.

Museum of PiracyA visit to the museum of piracy allows the visitors to get in touch with a great part of the history of pirates and filibusters in the waters of the Caribbean Sea, as well as a fantastic collection of weapons used at that time. The visitor will know how the city was subject to numerous pirate attacks between 1538 and 1562.
